Portfolio Updates

Six classes. One gate.

The portfolio is organised into six classes rather than an index of holdings. What each class underwrites, and why every one of them enters through the same gate, in the same order.

Portfolio Updates

A class says what the platform underwrites and how. It never says which counterparty, which vehicle or which piece of ground sits inside it; that is named under NDA, after an asset has cleared the gate. Nothing has to be rewritten when a deal closes.

Four of the classes are land, forest and coast — where the asset is the ecosystem itself, underwritten as working land rather than as ground held out of use. Restoration and assisted regeneration: degraded ground brought back, and measured from the first season. Long-rotation forestry: high-integrity timber, aggregated into a single investable sleeve. Working conservation landscapes: regenerative territories held as working land, not as set-aside. Coastal and blue ecosystems: mangrove and estuarine systems, underwritten for resilience first.

Two are value chains and the visitor economy — where the asset is the flow off the land, processed at origin or earned from the people who come to see it. Circular value chains: one harvest, several output streams, processed where it is grown. Visitor economy: revenue attached to conserved land, independent of any credit.

The group’s own ventures are named inside the class they belong to — TrueHarvest Cocoa, Preserve, the African Mangrove Centre of Excellence, Agritourism Africa — and named as what they are, with no country, region, site or coordinate. Every class enters through the same gate, in the same order. Anything inside a class beyond the ventures named is disclosed after registration, and in a data room on request.

    Operating first. Carbon second.

Why the platform underwrites restoration, forestry, mangrove, conservation and agritourism assets as operating businesses, and treats carbon and biodiversity revenue as optionality on top — never the thesis.
